Day +7 endeth | Things not to do in hospital room, in the dark, on your own.

1. Watch Spanish horror film (The Orphanage).
It's amazing how just like an Orphanage dormitory your very small room can become. It's also not a good test of an already compromised sphincter. Held out, but it won't thank me for the test.

Day +7 has come and gone and been another day of much general wellness. I feel pretty much ok. Still got runny, nippy poo stuff, but it's been very infrequent today. Only twice and not for hours. The second one was firming up a bit (Rory, from type-7s to a type 6/7). Still not good enough to hold a birthday candle at 45 deg - my own personal test of firmness. Reminds me - Corri, could you bring me in a b'day candle and holder please.

Doctor read me the riot act because I'd shaved with a razor whilst having a platelet count of 6. I explained that nobody has told me not to, he said an intelligent person would presumably know not to do that. Well, clearly not. Never underestimate the stupidity of clever people, I told him. Made me feel clever.

Due to continued low platelets, they gave me some more today. They're threatening to give me imunoglobulins, though it'll be interesting to hear their justification.

Good night guys.
