Morning blog readers,
It's day +8. Still feeling fine, though I had a busy night and morning. I apparently had a temperature that rose to 38.8 during the night. In all honesty, I felt a wee bit warm but not fevery or sweating, so I wasn't unwell with it.
It meant they monitored me more often, paged the doctor - who checked me over - gave me some new IV antibiotics, took a chest X-Ray with a machine they brought into the room and generally seemed worried. My temperature's now settled back to 37.3 and I feel ok but tired. All this meant I didn't get a good sleep.
So dozy time for Joe this morning.
One thing I have noticed, or perhaps simply no longer notice - the seagulls and oyster catchers ain't doing the painfully loud dawn chorus thing everyday now. Perhaps my ears just tune that noise out.
Speak later guys. Have a great weekend and make sure you do something fun with it!
Joe
Hi stem cell Joe, hope your Saturday is going good. Day +8 and you're on the verge of the blood numbers starting to come up and the bristol numbers starting to go down (which looks like the case!). Mine started to rise from the ashes of zero on day +10, so hopefully just another week and you'll be out of there :)
ReplyDeleteHaving a homely Saturday here, been down town and had a wee walk around the coast, just about to cut the grass then we're off to the pub at 5 for a swifty before smoked haddock risotto for denner with Julie's sister and her man, Mel and Alex.
Here's hoping your temperature behaves itself - I mind the same, feeling fine but a high temperature, then it dropped back to normal and I felt like shite LOL.
Anyway, I better get back to this grass cutting lark. Take care.
Rory
Hi Joe
ReplyDeleteJust back from a jaunt up Bennachie with your doggies. It was wet when we set off but cleared up after half an hour or so. I stopped past the Inverurie Garden centre to say a quick hello to my mum & auntie who were 'having a rake' - Fraoch stuck his big tousled head out of the car window to introduce himself. Barra looked on serenely, almost disgusted with his behaviour. Esther asked if he'd been dragged through a hedge up bennachie, told her he always looks like that & we were on our way to the walk!
Just been having fun with a jigsaw, should;ve probably waited for someone experienced (Corri?) as havent managed to cut lopsided jaggy holes in my back door. The cat will have to spring at quite an angle to get through his new catflap.
have a good night,
Julie x
