Not a great sleep last night. I blame my unfamiliarity with pyjamas and that bleedin seagull, who brought his mates with him last night, turning it into a bad choral recital.
Had a few pukey events late evening (sorrry - I did say this would be a warts and all expose), but they eventually got an anti-sickness drug that seemed to do the trick and I feel ok this morning. Struggled with the prunes and branflakes though, as appetite ain't brilliant.
Today's down as a rest day before they padlock the door. I'll endeavour to escape outside for a bit - hopefully with Corri & the dogs to a nearby park.
Later.
Hi Joe hope your doing ok. I can sympathise with the Seagull. I have a couple doing the night shift over at the Post Office. Apart from Prunes for brekky how's your morning been so far. I should really be doing some work but, thanks to Amanda she has give me your blog so I will be cheking that instead of doing wages and things. Anyway have a good day speak soon. Sharon Mac xx
ReplyDeleteHi Joe, hope you're enjoying your "rest" day! I had a very long shower on the evening of day -1 and an even longer one on the morning of day 0 (actually I did sneak one or two in during the "closed door" period...).
ReplyDeleteNot long now and the fascination with number 1's changes to number 2's - I hope you brought your bristol scale with you? Dr. Lawrie quite appreciates being given the numbers when he asks the number 2 question LOL
Shame about the melphalan pukes, I mind you saying you had the Glaswegian "casual" puke ability though! It's a tough amount of poison they pour into you though.
Anyway, take care and send my love to all at ward 16 :)
Hi Joe
ReplyDeleteAaa, seagulls, bless 'em! They must have a pact the world over to wow us all with their beautiful dawn chorus-the little beggers are waking me 5.45 ish these days.
" Prunes and branflakes"- buggers- not content with making you pee and puke all day....
Hope life in the lovely ARI is packed full to bursting with interest and activity for the next few weeks, and that all continues to go OK.
Still hoping to get up in July to see you, if not before
Lots of love
pat x
